How can you get involved?
Successful parties only survive if people participate and get involved.
Our mission statement includes but is not limited to:
- Recruit and support Democratic candidates that are competitive in elections and worthy of voter trust.
- Inform Stephenson County voters of issues, voting records, and candidate positions in a timely manner.
- Support the cause of fair, open, honest and efficient government that serves all citizens without regard to race, creed, color, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
- Seek the increased participation of all eligible voters in Stephenson County elections and guard against all forms of voter suppression.
- Wouldn’t you love to see a Democrat contesting every race on the local ballot in Stephenson County? That’s exactly the vision of the Stephenson County Democratic Party—and we’re making significant strides toward achieving it!
We are a revitalized and energetic organization, no longer just discussing challenges but actively working to create solutions. Every year, we’re proud to support a number of Democratic candidates running for township, city, school board, and Park District positions across the county. These candidates bring diverse perspectives and share the values we believe are essential for ensuring every resident in our community is heard and represented. We are committed to providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Membership Information
We do not require you to pay an annual membership to belong to the county party. Many of our members choose to give donations during the year which is greatly appreciated.
