A Fundraiser for the Stephenson County Democratic Party
Friday, September 18, 2026 from 5 - 7:30 pm in the Crystal Room, Freeport Masonic Temple, 305 W. Stephenson St., Freeport, IL.
An evening you won't want to miss! Watch for our Keynote speaker to be announced. Meet and support our candidates. We'll have food, not just appetizers, catered again by "The Traveling Chef." Each ticket includes two drinks the possibility of winning one of our many door prizes.
For a special treat, step back in time and meet a Jane Addams Re-enactor and discover the remarkable story of a legendary woman who was born right here in Stephenson County. Let's honor Jane Addams' legacy with your presence, your donations and your VOTE!

about our central committee meetings & events
Central Committee Meetings
The Stephenson County Democratic Party Central Committee meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month starting at 6:30 pm or sometimes 6 pm, especially in the winter months. Some of our meetings are on Zoom and/or hybrid. During our meetings, we discuss and vote on strategy and the direction of the party. For this reason, other than visitors, especially invited, our Central Committee meetings are for our Central Committee members only.

You do not need to be a PCP to be a part of our committees. If you have an interest and desire to help us or attend a meeting, please email us at stephensoncountydemcrats@gmail.com or call 815-801-5760.
If you're interested in becoming a PCP (Precinct Committee Person) and becoming a member of our Central Committee, call 815-801-5760. You do not need to live in a precinct to be appointed.
Events
During the year, we host several Fundraisers and Meet and Greets. We hosted our first annual Democrat Election Judge Appreciation Breakfast on President's Day, 2026. We host Democrats Day at the Stephenson County Fair, and participate in many of the downtown events such as Tutty Baker Fest, Paint the Port and Bootiful. We are always looking for help during these events.

2026 Democrats Day at the FairJuly 25, 2026
Our special guest for the 5th annual Democrats Day was Lt Governor Juliana Stratton. Juliana is on the way to be our next Illinois Senator with the retirement of Senator Dick Durbin.
We spent the week with a booth in the Commercial Building and then on Saturday, the final day of the fair, we celebrated with games, music, lots of candidates and fun.
We celebrated Medicare's birthday with cake and we honored some of the counties oldest Democrats.
