We vote for one man and one woman during the Primary Election on March 17, 2026. There are 20 counties in the IL-16th. Stephenson is half in the 16th and half in the 17th.
In the 16th Congressional District, two candidates are currently seeking the Democratic State Central Committee Person position. This race is decided at the Primary Election.
Kevin Lamm is a resident of Stephenson County and has been an active member of the Stephenson County Democratic Party for the past five years. He has served on the Central Committee and the Executive Committee as Elections and Campaign Chair, helping to guide and strengthen the party’s local efforts.
Kevin is endorsed by Stephenson County Democratic Chair Jody Coss and supported by a strong majority of our county party leadership. Much of our party’s growth over the past five years can be credited to Kevin’s experience, leadership, and institutional knowledge. After more than 40 years involved in Chicago politics, Kevin brought that expertise with him when he retired to his hometown of Rock City, where he has put it to work building a stronger Democratic Party here at home.
