No Kings 2.0 Protest on October 18, 2025 from noon to 1pm in Freeport

No Kings 2.0 Protest - October 18, 2025

Noon - 1pm in Freeport

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.

Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.

The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

Meet at the corner of Rt 26 and Empire Street. Bring a sign, and a friend. We expect and insist on a non violent protest. There will be people in vests if you need help.

about our central committee meetings & events

Central Committee Meetings

Central Committee meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month starting at 6:30 pm or sometimes 6 pm.  Some of our meetings are on Zoom and/or hybrid.

In addition, we have several committees that meet during the month. If you have an interest and desire to help us or attend a meeting, please email us at stephensoncountydemcrats@gmail.com or call 815-801-5760.

If you're interested in becoming a PCP (Precinct Committee Person) and becoming a member of our Central Committee, call 815-801-5760. You do not need to live in a precinct to be appointed.

Events

During the year, we host several Fundraisers and Meet and Greets. We host Democrats Day at the Stephenson County Fair, and participate in many of the downtown events such as Tutty Baker Fest, Paint the Port and Bootiful. We are always looking for help during these events.

Office Space

Do you have a Garden Club, Book Club or other group needing space to meet? Give us a call and tell us what you're looking for. 815-801-5760
