As a beneficiary of the Community College system, I fully understand the impact a Community College can play in any student’s life.
In addition to providing quality classroom experiences, we need to provide access for disabled students, technology training, course access and accessibility in the rural areas and increase outreach to the entire District, while being fiscally responsible with all assets.
Highland Community College is a valuable resource and we need to work together to make sure it will be an opportunity for our future generations.
In addition to preparing students for the workforce, we must take one further step and purposefully partner with our local employers to ensure that we are providing the degrees, credentials and micro-credentials necessary to allow them to staff their businesses with a well trained work force which will allow them to be successful employers throughout our HCC District.
